Consultation Terms

Last updated: November 2026

These terms apply when you schedule or attend an initial consultation with the Law Office of Malia I. Alexander, LLLC, doing business as 808 Estate & Elder Law (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including after you submit a consultation request through our website.

How Requests Work

Submitting a request does not guarantee a consultation. We first review each request, including a conflict check. If we can help, we will contact you about next steps. If we can’t, we will let you know.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Scheduling or attending a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship. We represent a client only after we have both signed a written engagement agreement. Until then, we are not your attorneys and are not responsible for deadlines or other matters affecting your situation.

What the Consultation Covers

The initial consultation is complimentary. It is a chance to briefly discuss your needs, see whether our firm is a good fit, and learn about the process and possible next steps. It does not include detailed document review or legal advice about your specific situation.

Conflict Check

Before we discuss your matter, we check for conflicts of interest using the names you provide. If a conflict exists, we may need to cancel the consultation, and we will let you know.

Please Do Not Send Confidential Information

Please do not include confidential or sensitive details about your legal matter in your request. A brief description of how we can help is enough. We will discuss specifics during the consultation.

How Consultations Are Held

Consultations may be held by phone, by video, or in person. For a phone consultation, we will call you at the number you provide. For video, we will send the meeting link before your appointment. If you need a different arrangement, please let us know.

Rescheduling and Cancelling

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please use the link in your confirmation email, if one is included, or contact us at contact@808estatelaw.com or (808) 215-6888.

Your Information

Information you provide in your request or when scheduling is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
